  • President & Co-Founder

    Coach Z earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and a Master’s Degree in Sport Administration from Ball State University.

    He has nearly 20 years of experience as a Sports Performance Coach including stops at Viterbo University (Women’s Soccer), University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (Powerlifting), Ball State University (Football), Indianapolis Colts, Cincinnati Bengals, and Ball State University (Baseball).

    Coach Z is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NCSA-CSCS). He also holds certifications from the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) and Reflexive Performance Reset (RPR).

    In addition to coaching, Coach Z is a Senior Lecturer of Kinesiology at Ball State University where he teaches courses in Physical Fitness & Wellness and Exercise Science.

    Coach Z is currently serving as the Director of Strength & Conditioning for the Prospects Organization.

  • Director of Athlete Health & Wellness and Co-Founder

    Kendra earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education/Athletic Training Concentration from Salisbury State University, a Master’s Degree in Physical Education/Sport Psychology Concentration from Ball State University, and graduated from the Swedish Massage Program at Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics. She has been a Certified Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) since 2001.

    For the past 20 years, she has delivered courses focused on enhancing physical fitness and wellness at Ball State University. She has also provided instruction to massage therapy students at the Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics in Musculoskeletal Anatomy. Previous to her employment in higher education, she served in an athletic training role with a variety of collegiate athletics teams, Minor League Baseball, and a short stint with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

    Kendra has always valued the important impacts that both physical and mental wellness have on an athlete’s ability to perform both on and off the field. This principle is what guides her approach to athlete development.

  • Director of Operations & Sports Performance Coach

    Joshua Lewis holds a Master’s in Sport Administration and a Bachelor’s in Psychological Science from Ball State University, and is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Education at the same institution. With over six years of combined experience in academia and the fitness industry, Joshua seamlessly integrates his academic prowess with practical expertise as a certified personal trainer accredited by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Driven by an unwavering passion for empowering others to achieve their utmost potential, Joshua's tailored training programs have consistently delivered remarkable results, reflecting his commitment to guiding clients on their athletic journey with expertise, encouragement, and unwavering support.

    Joshua assists with all facets of BKZ business, including serving as a Sports Performance Coach with all our athletes and teams.

  • Mental Performance Consultant

    Khushbu Patel (KP) is a recent graduate of the dual master’s programs in Sport and Exercise Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ball State University. Beginning Fall 2024, she will be pursuing her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology at the same institution.

    She played collegiate volleyball and participated in both dance and martial arts through high school. KP has a passion for helping athletes perform to the best of their abilities while maintaining their well-being. When working with athletes, she views each athlete as a whole person and collaborates to develop an individualized mental performance training plan.

    KP can work with athletes on focus/concentration, managing pressure, emotional regulation, leadership, and more.
